Tweet By Kathy Mathews, July 26, at 7: Being a compliant and eager student, I did exactly that. You can imagine my dismay when I read this blog posted and learned that Quilters Newsletter is closing. Say it ain’t so! That magazine was a constant in my quilting life. And to end it when it is 3 years away from its 50th year seems even more sad and I am not even sure why. I have probably subscribed to 15 or more quilt magazines in the past 3 decades.

I try some for a while, then try others and see which ones continually interest. Never did I not renew Quilter’s Newsletter. I was a single Mom for 4 years and Quilters Newsletter was the only magazine I could afford. I was a solitary quilter then and this was my lifeline to other quilters. Of course, there is the internet now.

A documentation consists of two parts: When a Documentation Day is planned, the local organizing group should make an appointment for each quilt at least 30 minutes per item. A Quilt History form 3 pages should be provided in advance to the owner for each item being documented.

The owner then brings the completed form and the quilt to the Documentation Day.

I celebrate myself, and sing myself, And what I assume you shall assume, For every atom belonging to me as good belongs to you. I loafe and invite my soul, I lean and loafe at my ease observing a spear of summer grass. Creeds and schools in abeyance, Retiring back a while sufficed at what they are, but never forgotten, I harbor for good or bad, I permit to speak at every hazard, Nature without check with original energy.
